Annual Meeting - 20^th Anniversary Celebration

      The annual meeting was presided over by CHEN Tingting, YING Hongmin, GUO Qiqi and YAN Boru, four young lawyers of the law firm.
 

      The celebration commenced with the premiere of the latest promotional video of Ronly & Tenwen, a quality-oriented law firm that has won industry recognition and client trust with its superb professional services over the last 20 years. By highlighting the firm’s fruitful achievements across various business sectors, the video introduced the firm’s development path characterized by entrepreneurial passion, hard work and solidarity, and its vision for large-scale, professional, and international development. As a burgeoning player in China’s legal services market, Ronly & Tenwen is working towards its goal of becoming a world-leading law firm.
 

      PAN Dingchun, the Director of the firm, delivered the opening speech for the 20th anniversary. He provided an overview of Ronly & Tenwen’s development and achievements over the past two decades, emphasizing that the merger between Ronly and Tenwen was a significant milestone in the overall growth of the firm. In the five years following this merger, Ronly & Tenwen has embraced a philosophy centered around “embracing change and innovation, aligning with industry trends, focusing on expertise, and driving advancement.” This approach has yielded remarkable outcomes in terms of expansion, specialization, branding enhancement, standardization implementation, informatization as well as internationalization efforts. Moving forward, Ronly & Tenwen will continue to adapt to social and economic transformation and industrial adjustment, refine its capabilities and promote high-quality development. PAN expressed his confidence that both the new Management Committee and Supervisory Committee will shoulder their responsibilities with utmost trust from all partners and more than 300 colleagues alike and lead the firm into an exciting new phase of growth.

     The annual meeting released the new official website of Ronly & Tenwen. The optimized website is user-friendly and focuses on providing users with a more intuitive and convenient access experience. Through the website upgrade, Ronly & Tenwen aims to further improve service efficiency, provide more transparent and professional legal services, and establish a close rapport with clients and partners.

      The annual meeting also presented Ronly & Tenwen’s “Legal Public Welfare Service Report”. Since its establishment, the firm has actively fulfilled its social responsibility through various initiatives, including providing services to grassroots communities to foster equal and law-based societies, offering legal support to enterprises in industrial parks to improve the regional business environment, representing legal aid cases, assisting vulnerable groups in society, and supporting government departments with comprehensive social governance. In the report, service cases of Ronly & Tenwen and their impact on public welfare were detailed, which not only showcased the firm’s professional strengths but also reflected its commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of the rule of law.

      The inheritance ceremony of Ronly & Tenwen Headquarter-branches Coordinated Development and Joint Cooperation Mechanism was held at the annual meeting. Through this activity, the firm will further promote coordination between the head office and eight branches respectively in Beijing, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Changzhou, Taicang and Lingang, realize resources sharing and leverage their respective strengths to provide clients with high-quality and more efficient legal services.


      The firm’s strategic plan also includes global expansion. The annual meeting witnessed the signing ceremony of Shanghai Ronly & Tenwen (Korea) Foreign Law Consulting Law Firm, aiming to provide better and more professional legal services for Chinese and Korean enterprises and individuals, and establish a strong foundation for Ronly & Tenwen to further expand into international markets, deepen international cooperation and realize its global strategic layout.

      At the annual meeting venue, Ronly & Tenwen also unveiled two legal practice publications, namely “Intellectual Property Case Interpretation and Practice Guidance” and “Lawyer Practice and Theoretical Research”. Drawing upon the expertise and experience of Ronly & Tenwen’s legal professionals, these two books will serve as authoritative references and practical guides for legal practitioners.

      At the meeting, WANG Zhiyong, a lawyer and the director of the Supervisory Committee, officially announced the newly appointed members of the Supervisory Committee, while PAN Dingchun, the director of the firm, announced the newly appointed members of the Management Committee. All the new members attended the inheritance ceremony and took a group photo. The formal occasion represented not only the affirmation and recognition of the preceding Management Committee and Supervisory Committee, but also the confidence in the development and inheritance of the law firm.


      After the inheritance ceremony, SHA Jiawei, a lawyer and the newly appointed director, delivered a speech emphasizing his commitment to upholding the firm’s mission and leading it towards continuous development with unwavering determination. He expressed utmost confidence in the firm’s continuous growth because of the firm’s well-established management system, cohesive team, and scientifically-driven operational model. In the next stage, the Management Committee will dedicate itself to exploring an integrated operational approach for the firm while elevating its business capabilities and promoting standardization and productization of legal services.

      In her speech at the meeting, HAN Lu, Vice President of the Shanghai Bar Association and Director of the Shanghai Women Lawyers Working Committee, stated that Ronly & Tenwen’s focus on the interconnected development of law firms with the legal industry and alignment with national trends demonstrates a forward-thinking and a holistic view. She expressed her hope that Ronly & Tenwen would seize the opportunity in Shanghai’s new round of law firm brand building and contribute to the high-quality development of Shanghai’s legal industry.

      In his speech, WANG Wei, Party Committee member and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Minhang District Bureau of Justice, put forward three expectations for the future development of Ronly & Tenwen, which included further promoting the guidance of the party committee, continuously optimizing the management mode of the law firm, and strengthening the firm’s capabilities in foreign-related legal services.

      SUN Lijun was selected by the Ronly & Tenwen Party Branch as “2023 Excellent Party Worker”, ten party members were selected as “2023 Excellent Party Member”, including ZHU Subao, PAN Yuhong, YUAN Chen, MA Yuntao, YU Guowen, YING Hongmin, JIN Ling, YANG Chengyi, HUANG Tianjun and YANG Yuxin; ten party members were selected as “2023 Advanced Individual in Party Knowledge Learning”, including YANG Chengyi, REN Yuping, YING Hongmin, ZHU Subao, YUAN Chen, SHI Mengzhe, LIU Liyu, JIN Ling, SUN Shangting, and HUANG Tianjun. Awards were presented by ZHOU Kehui, SUN Lijun, PAN Yuhong, SHEN Miancheng, MA Yuntao and QIU Yingchun.

      Ten lawyers were selected as “2023 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Ronly & Tenwen”, including HUANG Wenjun, XU Xiaolin, CHEN Tingting, SUN Yucheng, WEI Chixiang, QIAN Kele, ZHANG Chengbo, QIN Su’an, ZHANG Ruixian, ZHONG Lei, GUO Shengnan and ZANG Ying. Awards were presented by SHA Jiawei, WANG Shixi and JI Xiaoguang.

     Five lawyers were selected as “2023 Annual Outstanding Public Interest Lawyer of Ronly & Tenwen”, including CHEN Ronglian, LI Gang, YING Hongmin, YUAN Chen and FANG Xijin, in recognition of their contribution to public legal services such as “legal services into villages”, “legal services into industrial parks”, “legal rights protection of employees” and “legal aid”. Awards were presented by WANG Zhiyong.

      LI Xiaoqing was selected as “2023 Outstanding Employee”, which was presented by JIANG Yulin.

      The Committee of Construction Engineering and Real Estate and The Committee of Finance, Securities and Taxation were selected as “2023 Excellent Special Committee of Ronly & Tenwen”. Awards were presented by GONG Yi and SUN Liqing.

      SUN Quan, CHENG Wenli and FANG Zhaohong were selected as “2023 Excellent Union Member of Ronly & Tenwen”. Awards were presented by LI Shujuan.

Annual Meeting - Dinner Party

     SHA Jiawei, the director of the firm, delivered a speech prior to the dinner party. Firstly, he extended warm congratulations to colleagues who were awarded for their excellence in legal practice, outstanding contributions as party workers and members, exceptional dedication as public interest lawyers, and exemplary performance as employees. He also expressed sincere gratitude towards all colleagues at Ronly & Tenwen. Subsequently, SHA articulated his expectations for continued diligence from all legal professionals at Ronly & Tenwen in 2024 and conveyed his best wishes for everyone to have a joyous New Year, a happy family and good luck in the new year.


      When the Happy Birthday song started to play, the January birthday celebration commenced. All colleagues at the site extended their sincere birthday wishes to individuals born in January.

           Then the live bands joined the celebration, igniting the atmosphere of the scene. Lottery drawings to determine the first, second and third prize winners and red envelope rain were arranged at intervals to push the atmosphere to a climax.

      Twenty years marked both a significant milestone and the commencement of a new chapter. Embarking on this new journey, Ronly & Tenwen will align with the pace of national development, adhere to the overarching principles of “professionalism, refined skills, prioritization, and high standards”, and seamlessly integrate expertise, resources, and wisdom to effectively contribute towards social and economic progress.

      “There is beauty in the process of striving for something great.” Robert Kennedy’s words reflected exactly the experience of Ronly & Tenwen in the past five years, indicating a landscape of Ronly & Tenwen’s continued struggle in the future.
