Recently, YANG Nan, lawyer of the firm led her team members including lawyer QIN Shougou and lawyer HUANG Zhenfeng to participate in a risk control and disposal case for a commercial housing development project in Jiading District, enabling the project to be successfully delivered. The team’s efforts earned them a letter of commendation from the district administrative department and a silk banner bestowed by the house buyers. The words on the silk banner, which said “Showing concern for civilians’ dream of nestling, ensuring worry-free house delivery” represented the buyers’ recognition and gratitude to the lawyer team.
In June 2022, a commercial housing project triggered a collective petition from hundreds of homebuyers due to the disruption of the capital chain and project construction delays, resulting in its classification as a key supervision project by the National Bureau for Letters and Calls. Following this incident, Lawyer YANG Nan led her team members, Lawyer QIN Shougou and Lawyer HUANG Zhenfeng, to provide immediate assistance to district authorities in investigating and managing risks associated with the project while offering public legal services. The team made significant contributions to the risk management task force established by the district government, ensuring effective resolution of project risks, facilitating smooth construction progress, and safeguarding project delivery and the livelihood and stability of the general public.
Lawyer YANG Nan led the team to the front line, utilizing their professional legal perspective and extensive practical experience to approach the issue from the aspects of fund flow and project management. They not only raised construction funds for the project but also established rules for the payment of the funds, resolving conflicts between the developer and contractors, as well as small owners and the developer, and ultimately promoting the successful project completion. The team’s efforts helped defend the rights of over 1,200 small owners while contributing positively to social stability.
After more than a year of diligent efforts by YANG Nan’s legal team, the project has been successfully completed and obtained the delivery license on October 23, 2023, thereby ensuring the property rights of over 1,200 buyers involved in the project.
