Typical cases:

1.Zhu xx et al v. Jin xx and xx Insurance Company Shanghai Branch over a road traffic accident case. Zhu xx is a disabled person without working capacity, unmarried and childless, and has been living together with his/her mother and depending on his/her mother's pension. In 2018, his/her mother died from a road traffic accident. Lawyer CHEN Zhongfei acted as Zhu xx's agent to help Zhu xx file a lawsuit with the People's Court, demanding the responsible party and the insurance company to pay funeral expenses, death compensation, mental compensation, living expenses of the dependent, and physical damage expenses totaling more than 700,000 yuan, of which the most controversial was the dependent’s living expenses of more than 350,000 yuan. The defendant believed that Zhu xx was an adult child, and her mother was over 70 years old, who should have  no maintenance obligation to the plaintiff, thus the living expenses of the plaintiff (the dependent) should not be covered. Lawyer CHEN Zhongfei successfully won the court judgment to pay the plaintiff's claim in full in the first instance.
2. Shanghai xx Company v. Zhangjiagang xx Company over a construction equipment lease contract dispute case. The plaintiff Shanghai xx Company signed a construction equipment lease contract with Suzhou xx Company. With the consent of the plaintiff, Suzhou xx Company transferred the contract obligations to Zhangjiagang xx Company in general. After the completion of the project, neither Suzhou xx Company nor Zhangjiagang xx Company was willing to pay the equipment lease fee. Lawyer CHEN Zhongfei served as an agent of Shanghai xx Company, helped the company to file a lawsuit with the People's Court, listing Suzhou xx Company and Zhangjiagang xx Company as co-defendants, and requiring the two defendants to pay the equipment lease fee and overdue liquidated damages. The most controversial point was who should bear the payment obligation. Under the lawyer's argument, the courts of first instance and second instance decided that Zhangjiagang xx Company should bear the payment obligation.

3.Xu xx et al v. Shanghai xx Company over a labor contract dispute case. Xu xx et al worked in Shanghai xx company for half a year without signing a labor contract with Shanghai xx company, and then were fired by Shanghai xx Company with neither any compensation nor the last month’s wages. Lawyer CHEN Zhongfei represented Xu xx and others and filed a lawsuit with the People's Court, asking Shanghai xx company to pay double wages, wages of the last month and compensation for not signing a labor contract. All the plaintiffs lost the lawsuit in the labor arbitration, however the court upheld the plaintiffs’ request in both the first instance and the second instance.
